Currently, Henrikson Owen & Associates has several ongoing commissioning projects. Through our On-Call Commissioning Agent Contract with the Los Angeles Unified School District, Henrikson Owen is commissioning multiple high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools. Under Henrikson Owen’s Whole Building Commissioning Contract with the Los Angeles Community College District, Henrikson Owen is performing commissioning services for at multiple campuses.
Another notable commissioning project that will commence soon is the Church of Resurrection in Escondido, California, Henrikson Owen, serving as a Subconsultant to Kluger Architects, has served as the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineer for this new Church and ancillary facilities. The commission portion is being provided to reflect a newly value-engineered approach to the build-out phase. The new Church building is approximately 18,500 square feet with multiple worship facilities. Henrikson Owen will serve as the Commissioning Agent and review the basis of Design (BoD) documentation, conduct a review of construction documents, develop a commissioning plan to meet the project objectives, verify installation using checklists, oversee operator training and the Contractor’s submittal of training documentation, and complete a comprehensive commissioning report. The systems being commissioned include the building control system (energy management system), equipment for HVAC systems, scheduled or occupancy sensor lighting controls, and plumbing system, such as domestic water generation systems.
