The hallmark of Henrikson Owen is energy-efficient, sustainable, and workable designs, as well as detailed and accurate energy auditing and commissioning services. Henrikson Owen has consistently manifested its energy-efficiency philosophy in all projects; including one that received the first place national ASHRAE Energy Award for Alternative Energy Design and another that was so unique that it received $2 million in grant funding from SCE and SCAQMD. We can provide assistance toward LEED certification of building design, with many LEED Accredited Professional’s on staff. We have identified a wide array of energy conservation measures (ECMs) for which our services have subsequently been retained for design and implementation of these ECMs as well. ECMs include HVAC improvements, lighting upgrades, building envelope insulation, glazing replacements, advanced DDC networked controls, central plant systems, daylighting and occupancy lighting controls, as well as innovative alternative onsite energy generation such as solar PV and geothermal.
