Leadership Transition at Owen
Owen is pleased to announce several leadership changes. Richard Henrikson, PE, LEED AP, has been promoted to President of Owen. With over 40 years of engineering expertise, he will lead all of Owen’s staff and oversee our architecture and engineering projects. Richard will also lead Owen as it transitions into the Bureau Veritas constellation of companies, providing compliance and design services nationally and internationally.
Michael Chegini, PE, SE, DBIA, PMI, will transition into a support role as Client Liaison. With over 40 years of experience in the architecture and engineering industry, he will build upon his strength in building and maintaining client relationships.
Open and Fully Operational
The new leadership at Owen has been tossed the immense challenge of navigating through the COVID-19 crisis. For several months now, the COVID-19 pandemic has been affecting our lives. We have been tried and tested in ways we never imagined. We have also witnessed the determination and kindness of the human spirit. We at Owen have remained steadfast in our determination to remain fully operational during this time of crisis.
Working Remotely
As essential workers, Owen’s staff continues to work remotely. Individual professionals are available to visit clients and perform site visits and have been doing so throughout this crisis. Our staff have personal protective equipment (PPE), and when visiting clients, we wear our PPE and maintain a 6’ distance. The focus is to keep jobsite construction projects on schedule as we work through these challenging times.
Technology and Software Tools
To accomplish team collaboration, facilitate client interaction, and develop reports, drawings, and specifications, Owen employs an array of robust software technology tools. We utilize Microsoft Outlook for our email exchange; Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and GoToMeeting for teleconferences; and we employ a highly secure VPN to access our network. Once again, our objective is to maintain seamless performance and on-time quality deliverables for our clients in a time when the convenience of office work and face-to-face interaction is not available. Our clients can expect full
service from Owen in these difficult times.
