CalOptima is a public agency serving approximately 468,000 members. CalOptima is the sole Medi-Cal managed care authority for Orange County. As a county organized health system (COHS), CalOptima is responsible for providing medical services to members in the majority of aid categories or codes in Orange County. CalOptima owns a 10-story commercial office building located in the City of Orange, CA. While CalOptima occupies multiple floors of the building, it leases out other spaces to tenants. Currently, CalOptima is proposing a series of tenant improvements that will range in technical scope and complexity.
Owen was recently awarded a contract to provide architectural and engineering consulting services, which will include architectural design and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, landscape, and structural engineering design for these various tenant improvements to occur throughout the building. Owen’s scope of work will range from performing facility condition assessments and site visits to code compliance, including ADA accessibility, and design.
Owen will be responsible for submitting design development documents including detailed specifications, cost estimates, and schedules, including Critical Path Schedules, for all areas of architectural and engineering design. Our professionals will also assist CalOptima with the bidding process and preparation of documents, as well as with construction administration and support during construction operations.
